Operations Overview
The Operations module is the central hub for managing day-to-day project execution in JobNext ERP. It contains the following sub-modules: Jobs, Tasks, Trading, and Work Requisition.
Jobs
The Jobs page displays all projects and jobs in a card-based grid view. Each card provides a quick snapshot of the job with the following information:
- Job Code — A unique identifier for the job (e.g.,
OMNISVC-GH-34861) - Contract Reference — Displayed if the job is linked to a contract
- Job Description — A brief summary of the job scope or purpose
- Warehouse Assignment — The warehouse allocated to the job
- Status Badges — Visual indicators of job state. For example, a "Warehouse Missing" badge appears in red if no warehouse has been assigned to the job
Job Card Actions
Each job card includes a set of action buttons for quick operations:
| Button | Action |
|---|---|
| Edit | Open the job for editing its details, assignments, and configuration |
| Copy | Duplicate the job to create a new job with the same settings as a starting point |
| Details (arrow) | Navigate to the full job details view with all associated data |
| Disable | Deactivate the job without deleting it, removing it from active listings |
Filters
The top of the Jobs page provides several filters to narrow down the displayed jobs:
- Search Box — Free-text search across job codes, descriptions, and references
- Warehouse — Dropdown to filter jobs by their assigned warehouse
- Business Unit — Dropdown to filter jobs by organizational business unit
- Zone — Dropdown to filter jobs by geographic zone
Adding Jobs
At the bottom of the Jobs page, two buttons are available for creating new jobs:
- Add Job — Opens a form to manually create a new job with all required fields
- Upload Job Details — Allows bulk creation of jobs by uploading data from a spreadsheet template
