Real-Time KPIs

Dashboard data is pulled directly from live transactional data in JobNext. When a material receipt is recorded, a voucher is posted, or an attendance entry is made, the relevant dashboards update to reflect the current state.

Data Currency

Dashboard KPIs reflect the most recent data available in the system. There is no batch processing delay. However, if transactions have not been entered or are still pending approval, they may not yet be reflected in the dashboard totals.

Drill-Down Capability

Dashboards are not just static displays. Most dashboard elements support drill-down, allowing you to click on a summary figure to see the detailed data behind it.

How Drill-Down Works

  1. View a dashboard widget showing a summary metric (e.g., total outstanding receivables).
  2. Click on the metric or chart element you want to explore.
  3. The system opens a detailed view showing the individual transactions or records that make up the summary.
  4. From the detailed view, you can further filter or navigate to the source document.

For example, clicking on the "Pending POs" count in the SCM Dashboard takes you to a list of all purchase orders in pending status. From there, you can open any individual PO to review its details.

Common Filters

Dashboards support filters that let you focus on specific subsets of data:

Using Dashboards Effectively

Daily Review

Make the dashboard your starting point each day. The Home screen in JobNext shows your pending approvals and key notifications, while the module-specific dashboards give you a broader operational view.

Weekly Management Review

Use project and finance dashboards during weekly review meetings to track progress against targets. The drill-down capability lets you investigate anomalies in real time during the meeting.

Monthly Reporting

Set the date range filter to the current month to generate monthly performance snapshots. Compare against previous months to identify trends.

Tip: Bookmark Your Dashboard

If you frequently access a specific dashboard with particular filters, bookmark the filtered URL in your browser for quick access. This saves time when you need to check the same view repeatedly.
