Documents

The Documents module is a centralized document management area in JobNext. It provides a single view of all documents uploaded across the system, making it easy to find, organize, upload, and download files associated with jobs, customers, prospects, and other records.

Document List Columns

The main document grid displays all documents uploaded across JobNext with the following columns:

ColumnDescription
Header The document name or title as it was uploaded.
Author The user who uploaded the document.
Uploaded The date and time the document was uploaded to the system.
Job The job associated with the document, if applicable.
Customer The customer linked to the document, if applicable.
Prospect The prospect linked to the document, if applicable.
Type Tag A label indicating the document type or category.

Document Type Tags

Each document in JobNext is tagged with a type that identifies what kind of document it is. Common type tags include:

  • VENDORBILL — Vendor bill or invoice documents
  • SITEEXPENSE — Site expense receipts and records
  • TASK — Task-related documents and attachments
  • VOUCHER — Financial voucher documents
  • TENDER DOCUMENT — Tender submission documents
  • CAPITALPOOFFER — Capital purchase order offer documents

How to Search for Documents 0:36
  • Upload documents — Use the upload button to add new documents to the system. Documents can be associated with jobs, customers, or prospects during upload.
  • Download documents — Select one or more documents and use the download button to retrieve them.
  • Grouped view by Job — The right panel displays documents grouped by Job Name, providing a quick way to see all documents associated with a specific job.
  • Search and filter — Use the grid's built-in filtering to narrow down documents by any column, including type tags, author, or date range.
