Rate Schedules

Rate Schedules are centrally managed pricing tables that define standard rates for each WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) item. They serve as the pricing foundation for Standard Quotes, allowing your estimating team to maintain a single source of truth for unit rates that can be applied consistently across multiple enquiries and proposals.

By maintaining rate schedules centrally, organizations can ensure pricing consistency, speed up the quoting process, and quickly adjust rates in response to market changes without editing individual quotes.

How to Create a Rate Schedule 0:29

  2. Click the Add + button.
  3. Enter the schedule header information: Code, Name, Scope/Discipline, Currency, and Effective Date.
  4. Add WBS items to the schedule by selecting from the WBS library and entering the unit rate for each item.

  6. Review the rates and set the status to Active when ready for use in quotes.

Using Rate Schedules in Standard Quotes

When creating a Standard Quote, you select a rate schedule as the pricing basis. The system automatically populates the quote BOQ lines with the unit rates defined in the schedule. The estimator can then adjust quantities and, if permitted, override individual rates for that specific quote without changing the master schedule.

Tip: Create separate rate schedules for different disciplines (Civil, MEP, Structural) and regions. This allows you to maintain region-specific pricing while keeping a standardized structure. Archive outdated schedules rather than deleting them to preserve historical pricing references.
