Easy Quote

The Easy Quote is the simplest quoting method in JobNext. It is best suited for BOQs that are already defined and require straightforward pricing without detailed cost build-ups.

When to use Easy Quote: Choose this method when you need to set selling rates with basic terms for quick submission — for example, straightforward scopes like residential renovations or simple service contracts.

5-Step Wizard

The Easy Quote uses a guided wizard to walk you through the quoting process:

  1. Open the Enquiry detail page
  2. Navigate to Tender/RFP → Quotes and click Easy Quote
  3. Complete the 5-step wizard (detailed below)
  4. Click Finish to create the draft quote

Step 1: General

Review the pre-filled information including customer name, service type, and currency. These fields are automatically populated from the enquiry record. Verify that all details are correct before proceeding.

Step 2: Location

Confirm the billing location details for the quote. This includes the delivery or work site address that will appear on the customer-facing proposal document.

Step 3: Line Items

Add BOQ items with quantities and sell rates. This is the core pricing step where you define what is being quoted:

FieldDescription
BOQ Item Select from the enquiry's BOQ requirements
Quantity Number of units being quoted
Sell Rate Your proposed price per unit to the customer
Amount Automatically calculated as Quantity x Sell Rate

Step 4: Terms

Enter invoice notes and Terms & Conditions that will appear on the customer proposal. Common items to include:

  • Payment terms and schedule
  • Validity period of the quote
  • Scope inclusions and exclusions
  • Warranty or guarantee provisions

Step 5: Review

Verify all information across all previous steps. Review line item totals, terms, and customer details. Once satisfied, click Finish to create the draft quote.

Tip: The Easy Quote creates a Draft status quote. You can edit it further before submitting for approval. Once submitted, the quote can be approved and then converted to a contract.
